Our superkül staircase design is coming to fruition. The custom elliptical stairs were installed in four pieces last week. They were fabricated off site and CNC cut using a fibre optic laser. We’re looking forward to sharing the finished product with you!
Work continues at our Oben Flats St. Clair West location. View work in progress and formwork pictures here.
For this year’s eagerly anticipated Art Toronto, superkül has partnered with the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) to create a lounge space in the SOLO section of this international art fair. The installation offers a glimpse of what MOCA’s future home on Sterling Road will look like when it opens in spring 2018: specifically, superkül’s seating structure responds to the mushroom column heads found in the Tower Automotive Building, designed by architect J.W. Schreiber. Erected in 1919, the building continues to be an important early example of flat-slab concrete construction. In the MOCA Lounge, the installation acts as a prototype for a circular seating composition that tests form, scale, user-friendliness and flexibility. A key element of the finish and surface detailing will be inspired by material textures found inside the heritage building. Learn more + be sure to check it out!
Demolition underway at our Danforth project reveals the existing home’s layers.
We were recently onsite at our Rosedale renovation project, admiring the fabulous views of the trees from the master bedroom windows! These are the same windows that were lifted in with a crane in September. Here’s also a previous progress shot from the summer. Enjoy!

We were recently onsite to review progress on our Little Redstone Lake project and were enticed with the rich fall colours as they contrasted against the neutral cladding for the new cottage. While this photo captures only a fragment of what we saw, we wanted to give you a sneak peak of what is currently cooking; can’t wait to share images of the final project with you!
Trades are completing the interior details for the lobby at our first midrise project with Oben Flats. We are excited about the fireplace installation adjacent to the slender marble fins. Stay tuned for more details soon!

Check out the rear windows being hoisted over the house by a crane in this recent shot from our Rosedale renovation project. The weight of the glass and limited access to the rear of the house, required a serious crane to get the windows from the delivery truck to their required location. Looking forward to sharing more about this project as construction continues!
